The West Coast, on your doorstep
Koksijde combines one of the widest beaches on the coast with sweeping dunes, cosy restaurants and a rich history. Whether you come for the sea, nature or peace and quiet — everything is within walking or cycling distance of your holiday home.
Beach & dunes
One of the widest beaches on the Belgian coast, backed by the Hoge Blekker — at around 33 metres the highest dune in Flanders. The Doornpanne and Ster der Zee nature reserves invite you to walk through rolling dunes.
Cycling & walking
Koksijde sits at a junction of cycle routes: along the promenade, through the polders or right through the dune woods. Walkers will find marked trails through the nature reserves, just behind the house.
Culture & heritage
Visit the Ten Duinen Abbey Museum, discover the Paul Delvaux Museum in Sint-Idesbald, or watch the horseback shrimp fishers in nearby Oostduinkerke — recognised as UNESCO world heritage.
Food & terraces
Fresh fish, grey shrimps and a drink on the promenade. From casual dining to fine restaurants: the West Coast is known for its cuisine and cosy terraces.
For the whole family
Wide, safe beaches, playgrounds and swimming pools nearby. Ideal for a stay with children or a large group that wants to get out together.
Easy to reach
Koksijde is easy to reach by car and train. The Coast Tram also connects the entire coastline — from De Panne to Knokke — ideal for a day trip.
